It’s national family day today and cuz of this I have decided to write a little something about family camping and why you should go for it.
Judging by the statistics of the amount of tents, caravans and campervans sold in the past 2 years, I think it’s fair to say that camping is getting more and more popular. So many people want to escape the daily grind and experience the great outdoors. If nothing else, social media is dictating us to try something new. And what better adventure could there be than camping?
Sure, there may be bugs, questionable bathroom facilities, and the occasional bear sighting, but rewards are worth it. Pssst, just joking, well except bugs. But camping just might bring out your family’s wild side. Here’s why camping is the perfect escape for your family, and why you should embrace the adventure and humor that comes with it.
First of all, let’s talk about the most important ingredient, the tent. Sure, it may take you an hour to set up, and you may forget a crucial piece like the poles, but snuggling up in a tent is so cozy, special and it makes you feel like you’re in your own little world. It’s like you are camping in a cocoon, with nothing but sounds of nature and your family’s snoring to lull you to sleep. Plus, if you’re lucky, you might even get to play a game of “who can hold their breath the longest” when someone lets out a particularly noxious fart.
Speaking of nature, let’s not forget about the beauty of it all. When you’re camping, you have the chance to see some truly breathtaking sights, from sunrises over the mountains to starry nights in the middle of nowhere. Camp Vodenca has a perfect position with very little light pollution for the stary nights and is far enough from Bovec, that the view of the mountains is completely different. And let’s be real, those views make for some pretty epic family photos that you can post on social media and make all your friends jealous.
But let0s not forget about the adventures. Wherever you’re going on a hike, kayaking down the river, or attempting to start a proper scouts fire, there’s always something to do when you’re camping. What you have to put in your plan is rafting on Soča river and zip-line or maybe canyoning if you’re more of a water family. And if things go wrong, like your spouse forgets the can opener and your stuck eating cold beans out of a can, just remember: it’s all part of the adventure, and you’ll laugh about it later. But to calm you down, we do have a common kitchen at Camp Vodenca. So, no worries!
Perhaps the best part of camping, though, is the change to disconnect from technology and reconnect with your family. Without the distractions of phones, laptops, and video games, you’ll have the chance to really talk to each other, play games, and make memories that will last a lifetime. And let’s be real, there’s, there’s something hilarious about watching your kids attempt to hang up a hammock, only to end up falling on the floor.
In conclusion, camping really may not be for everyone, but if you’re looking for a way to escape the daily grind and experience the great outdoors with your family, it’s worth a shot. Embrace the adventure, the bugs, and the humor that comes with it, and you just might discover your family’s wild side. And who knows, maybe you’ll even get to tell some embarrassing stories around the campfire that you’ll laugh about for years to come.
Maybe, just maybe, you’ll become a regular guest at Camp Vodenca and you will become a beloved member of a broader family. What do you think, is it worth of trying?
